How to Apply for a Palau Visa or Permit
The steps to enter Palau, from the mandatory online entry form to obtaining and extending a visa at the port of entry.
Important
Most visitors do not apply for a Palau visa at an embassy in advance. Instead, every arriving passenger must complete the online Palau Entry Form at palautravel.pw no more than 72 hours before departure, which generates a QR code required at check-in and on arrival. Visitors who are not from a visa-exempt country then receive a visitor visa on arrival from an immigration officer.
For longer or purpose-specific stays — work, study, residence or investment — applications are handled by the Bureau of Immigration, in coordination with other agencies such as the Bureau of Labor for work permits and the Foreign Investment Board for business activity. Extensions of a visitor visa are requested in person at the immigration office in Koror.
All visitors must also sign the Palau Pledge in front of the immigration officer as a condition of entry.
