How to apply

  • Apply at the Non-Tourist Visa Section of the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu.
  • Attend alongside the principal visa holder (or Nepali kin for a relation visa).
  • Submit relationship documents with originals and photocopies together with the principal holder's passport and current visa.
  • Renew in line with the principal visa holder's visa period.

Documents you may need

  • Proof of relationship: marriage certificate for a spouse, or birth certificate for a child (original and photocopy)
  • The principal non-tourist visa holder's passport and valid visa (or, for a relation visa, the Nepali kin's Citizenship Certificate and a relationship certificate from the local body)
  • Valid passport, completed application form and a passport-size photograph
