  • Travellers continuing to a third country who must pass through Namibian territory
  • Those who need to leave the airside transit area, or who transit by land, and are not visa-exempt

Requirements

  • Valid passport and a visa/entry authorisation for the onward destination where required
  • Confirmed onward travel tickets
  • Application via the appropriate MHAISS channel where a transit visa is needed

How to apply

Apply online through the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHAISS) eServices portal at eservices.mhaiss.gov.na, or at a Namibian diplomatic mission. Where eligible, a transit visa may also be obtained on arrival.

Submit your passport details, confirmed onward ticket, and proof that you will be admitted to your onward destination. A transit visa is only needed if you will leave the international airport transit area.

  • Confirmation of the length of your stay in Namibia
