Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Whether you need a visa for Namibia depends on your nationality and the purpose and length of your visit. Nationals of a number of countries, mainly SADC neighbours and selected partners, may enter visa-free for short visitor stays, while others must obtain an eVisa or an online visa on arrival before or on arrival.

Visa-free and visitor visas cover tourism and short visits only. Anyone intending to work, study, run a business or settle must apply for the appropriate permit regardless of nationality.

The exemption and visa-on-arrival lists change from time to time, so confirm your status against the current official MHAISS information before you travel.
