This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Namibia issues visa on arrival only at designated ports of entry, including major airports such as Hosea Kutako International Airport and Walvis Bay, harbours, and a number of land border posts. It is granted for tourist/visitor purposes only, so travellers relying on it must confirm that both their nationality and their intended entry point qualify.

From 1 April 2025 the visa-on-arrival service moved to an online process through the MHAISS eServices portal, alongside the Tourist/Holiday eVisa. This means many travellers now complete formalities online before arriving rather than only at the border.

Entry-point eligibility and the list of designated ports can change, so verify the current arrangements on the official MHAISS channels before travelling.
