Eligibility to enter the Marshall Islands depends on your nationality and the purpose of your visit. Citizens of certain countries are visa-exempt, citizens of countries with diplomatic relations with the RMI may be granted a visa on arrival or a visa waiver, and citizens of all other (non-exempt) countries must obtain a visa before travelling.

The RMI Washington, D.C. embassy indicates that citizens of the United States, Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, European Union countries and Taiwan, along with certain diplomats and crew members, are among those treated as visa-exempt. Because the exact country lists change, always confirm your status with the Division of Immigration or an RMI diplomatic mission before booking.
