The Division of Immigration has not published standard processing times on the pages reviewed. Applicants are advised to apply well before travel and to wait for approval before departure, since carriers require an approved visa or approval/uplift notice before boarding.
For private-vessel arrivals, the Division asks for information before entry and issues an approval letter, so travellers should allow additional lead time.
