Most Malaysia applications share a core set of documents: a valid passport (with sufficient remaining validity), passport photographs, proof of sufficient funds, and confirmed onward or return travel. Visitors must also complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before arrival.

Route-specific documents are added on top: employment contracts and company sponsorship for work passes, an institution offer letter for the Student Pass, marriage or birth certificates for family passes, proof of remote income for the DE Rantau pass, and evidence of fixed deposits and property for MM2H. Requirements differ by route and nationality, so check the exact checklist on the relevant official portal.
