How Malaysia's visa and pass fees are set and where to confirm the current amounts.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Visa and pass fees in Malaysia vary by visa type and by the applicant's nationality. For example, the special social-visit Multiple Entry Visa carries a fee of RM100 for Indian citizens and RM30 for Chinese citizens, while eVISA and other pass fees differ across categories.

Because fees are set per route and can change, they should always be confirmed on the official channel handling that application — the eVISA portal for visitor visas, the ESD portal for work passes, EMGS for student passes, and the relevant programme portal for long-stay routes. The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) itself is free.
