Frequently asked questions

  • No. Madagascar's official system recognises non-immigrant visas (short stays up to 90 days) and immigrant visas (over 90 days); there is no separate transit visa. A brief stop before onward travel is handled under the short-stay non-immigrant visa. Passengers who stay airside in an airport's international transit zone and do not clear immigration generally do not take up a Malagasy visa.
