Every applicant needs a passport valid for at least six months beyond arrival, with blank pages for entry stamps. Short-stay visitors additionally provide travel and accommodation details and, for the e-Visa, a digital passport scan.

Long-stay applicants provide documents specific to their purpose: an approved employment contract and work permit for employment; enrolment, diploma and financial-means evidence for study; investment or company documents for investors; and legalised relationship documents for family reunification. Documents issued abroad often need legalisation or certified translation.
