Who it is for

  • Foreign nationals of eligible countries wishing to visit Libya for tourism
  • Travellers arranged through a registered Libyan tour operator or local sponsor
  • Those able to meet security-clearance and accompaniment requirements

Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least six months with a blank page
  • Confirmed Libyan tour operator or sponsor providing an invitation/security letter
  • Passport-style photograph and scanned passport bio page
  • Proof of accommodation and travel itinerary
  • No Israeli entry stamps (entry is refused to holders of such stamps)

How to apply

  • Create an account on the official eVisa portal (evisa.gov.ly)
  • Complete the application with personal, passport and travel details
  • Upload the required documents and sponsor/operator letter
  • Pay the visa fee online
  • Await a decision (processing is reported at around 5–7 business days) and travel with the approved eVisa
