Requirements

  • Valid passport and a return/onward ticket
  • Confirmation of accommodation and, in some cases, travel insurance covering Iran
  • Payment of the visa-on-arrival fee at the airport
  • Not available to excluded nationalities (e.g. US, UK, Canadian and certain other passport holders)

How to apply

  • Check that your nationality is eligible for a visa on arrival
  • Optionally obtain a visa grant number via the MFA portal before flying to satisfy airline requirements
  • On arrival, complete the airport visa formalities and pay the fee
  • Collect the visa and clear immigration
