Important
Every Iran visa application needs a passport valid for the required period with at least one blank page and a recent passport-style photograph meeting the portal's specifications. You also provide a valid email address, which is authenticated throughout the process.
Beyond the basics, requirements depend on the visa: a business visa usually needs an invitation from an Iranian company; a student visa needs a university admission letter endorsed by the relevant ministry; a treatment visa needs hospital documentation; and a family visa often needs a Ministry of Foreign Affairs authorisation letter from Tehran.
