Documents You Need
The core documents required to enter The Gambia and to apply for visas and permits.
Important
All visitors must hold a valid passport and evidence of yellow fever vaccination. Visa applicants are typically also asked for passport photographs, a completed application form and supporting documents such as proof of accommodation.
Permit applicants provide additional documents according to the route — for example admission letters for students, employment and qualification documents for workers, and marriage or birth documents for family and citizenship cases. Non-citizens resident in The Gambia must also obtain an Alien ID card.
