Who it is for

  • Adults (21+) applying for citizenship (Class C1)

  • Foreign nationals with an affiliation to Eswatini or long residence

Requirements (adults, Class C1)

  • Completed application form
  • Fingerprints from a police station
  • Covering letter
  • Residence permit or khonta letter from a chief (or certified birth certificate)
  • Two passport photographs
  • Non-Swazi PIN

How to apply

  • Submit the application and documents to the Ministry of Home Affairs
  • Pay the pre-application fee (E500 for adults or minors)
  • Await the Citizenship Board's decision
  • On approval, provide previous-nationality details and pay the certificate fee to generate the 'Eswatini by Registration' PIN
