How long decisions take — the Ministry does not publish fixed timelines for every route, and permit and citizenship decisions are made case by case.

The Ministry of Home Affairs does not publish a single fixed processing time for all visas. Short-stay eVisa applications are decided after documents are submitted and the fee is paid; you should apply well ahead of travel.

Work permits, student passes and dependent passes are approved by a committee that considers each application on its merits, and citizenship applications are decided by the Citizenship Board with no fixed statutory timeframe. Apply early and allow ample time before your intended travel or start date.
