How to apply for a Comoros visa
How visas for the Comoros are obtained, from visa on arrival at the border to long-term visas arranged through government foreigner services.
Important
The Comoros does not operate an online e-visa system for ordinary travellers. Most visitors obtain a visa on arrival at the main entry points, principally Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport at Moroni (Hahaya) and designated seaports, by completing an application form and paying the fee to the immigration officer on entry.
Longer stays for work, study, family reasons or residence are handled through the government's foreigner services and the local immigration office in the Comoros rather than at the border. The official e-government portal signposts a 'long-term visa' service for foreigners, and consular matters fall under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Because official published detail is limited, travellers should confirm the current procedure, fees and required documents directly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the nearest Comorian embassy or consulate before travelling.
