Arriving in the Comoros: entry points and visa on arrival
A country-specific guide to where and how visas are obtained on entering the Comoros islands.
Important
The Comoros is an Indian Ocean archipelago of three islands — Grande Comore (Ngazidja), Anjouan (Ndzuwani) and Mohéli (Mwali). International arrivals are concentrated at Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport near Moroni on Grande Comore, with some arrivals by sea.
On arrival, travellers are directed to the immigration desk, where they complete a visa application form and pay the fee before the passport is stamped for entry. There is no need to obtain a visa online beforehand for a standard visit.
Travellers should note the practical realities of a small-island system: cash for the fee, printed accommodation and onward-travel evidence, and patience at the immigration desk. Domestic travel between the islands is separate from the entry visa.
