There are three main ways to obtain a Cambodian visa. The official e-Visa portal (evisa.gov.kh, run by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) lets many travellers apply online and receive an approval by email. Visa on arrival is available at international airports and designated land crossings. Cambodian embassies and consulates can also issue visas in advance.

For stays beyond the initial period, foreigners entering on the Ordinary (Type E) visa apply for an extension of stay (EOS) in the relevant category — EB (business/employment), ER (retirement), ES (student) or EG (general) — at the Department of Immigration visa office in Phnom Penh.

All arriving travellers, regardless of visa type, also complete the free Cambodia e-Arrival declaration before entering the country.
