How to Apply for a Brunei Visa
The route to apply for a Brunei visa depends on your nationality category and the purpose of your trip, ranging from visa-free entry to visa on arrival or applying in advance through a Brunei mission.

How you obtain permission to enter Brunei depends first on your nationality. Brunei groups nationalities into categories: some require a visa applied for in advance through the nearest Brunei Darussalam mission abroad (Categories A and B), some may obtain a visa on arrival (Category C), and some are visa-exempt for short visits (Category D). Nationals of Malaysia and Singapore are handled distinctly.
For work, study, family or residence, applications go through the Immigration and National Registration Department: the Work Pass Division for employment, the Visa, Visit and Diplomatic Division for visit/social and long-term passes, the Entry Permit Division for permanent residence, and citizenship services for naturalisation and registration.
All foreign nationals must also complete the mandatory e-Arrival Card and obtain approval before arriving in Brunei by air, land or sea. This is separate from, and additional to, any visa requirement.
