Who it is for

Nationals of MERCOSUR member and associated states who wish to reside in Bolivia based on their nationality.

Requirements

  • Valid passport, identity card or nationality certificate from a MERCOSUR member/associated state
  • For permanent residence: evidence of two years of valid residence under the Agreement, requested within three months before the temporary residence expires
  • Sworn residence application form
  • Background/good-conduct documentation as required

What you can do

  • Reside temporarily for two years on the basis of nationality
  • Convert to permanent residence and later pursue naturalisation
