Most Bolivian visa applications share a common documentary core, with purpose-specific additions such as a work contract, enrolment letter or marriage certificate. Documents issued abroad usually need to be legalised or apostilled and, where applicable, translated.
Commonly required documents
- Passport valid for at least 6 months
- Completed sworn visa/residence application form
- Recent 4x4 cm photograph (background colour varies by procedure)
- Police/criminal record certificate for applicants over 16
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate where applicable
- Proof of economic solvency (e.g. bank statements)
- Purpose document: work contract/NIT, enrolment letter, marriage certificate, or company documents
