How Bolivia's Grupo I/II/III system works and how to use the online DIGEMIG Go visa platform.
Important
Bolivia's visa policy is built around three country groups. Grupo I nationals enter for tourism without a visa; Grupo II nationals need a tourist visa; and Grupo III nationals need a tourist visa granted only after prior consultation with DIGEMIG. The lists are maintained by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and are revised by decree, so a nationality can move between groups.
DIGEMIG operates an online platform, DIGEMIG Go, that lets travellers start visa procedures online from anywhere in the world. It is accessed from the migration authority's website and complements applications made at Bolivian consulates.
