Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Tourist visa applications are usually processed within about 3 to 5 working days once a complete application and the required fees have been submitted. Applicants should apply well before their intended travel date to allow for verification.

Work, student, dependent, official and business visas are processed by the Department of Immigration after submission by the in-country sponsor, and timelines depend on prior clearances (for example, Department of Labour approval for work permits) and the completeness of supporting documents.

Arrival formalities at Paro International Airport have been streamlined through an Automated Immigration Clearance System and a stamp-less visa regime.
