Effective 1 May 2020. Minors pay 50% of the adult fee for their nationality.

Who it is for

  • Foreign nationals who have lived legally in Belize for at least one year
  • People able to demonstrate continued financial stability
  • Those who entered as minors (under 16) may qualify after at least 10 years' residence

Requirements

  • Legally resident in Belize for a minimum of one year at the time of application
  • Not absent from Belize for more than 14 days in total during that year
  • Proof of financial stability (past and continuing)
  • No conviction for a criminal offence carrying a possible sentence of 12 months' imprisonment or more

How to apply

  • Submit the application to the Immigration Office
  • Pay the residence fee applicable to your nationality
