Processing times vary by route. For the Temporary Employment Permit, the official guidance is that applicants are notified of the status of their application within 30 days of submission at the Labour Department. Student and dependent permits are described as processed on submission at the Immigration Office, with the permit sticker placed in the passport at that point.

For visas obtained abroad and for residence and citizenship, the Immigration Department does not publish precise processing times in the pages reviewed. Applicants should plan for several weeks or more and confirm current timelines with the relevant office or mission.
