For certain immediate family members of a Belize resident, this permit allows them to live in the country as dependants of the main resident.

Who it is for

  • Immediate family members of a Belize resident who can support and house them
  • Family members of retired age (55 or older), disabled persons, or children under five

Requirements

  • Letter of financial support
  • Photographs and valid passport
  • Birth or marriage certificate appropriate to the relationship
  • Letter of authority for siblings under 18
  • Sponsor's proof of Belizean identity and recent bank statement
  • One-year return ticket; foreign-language documents must be officially translated

How to apply

  • Apply at the Immigration Office
  • The application is processed on submission and a Dependent Permit sticker is placed in the dependant's passport
