Requirements

  • A passport that is valid for the duration of your stay.
  • Your nationality must fall under one of Armenia's visa-exemption categories: countries granted a unilateral exemption, or countries with a bilateral/multilateral visa-free agreement with Armenia. Check your specific passport on the official eligibility checker at evisa.mfa.am before travelling.
  • Holders of UN or EU Laissez-Passer travel documents are exempt from visa requirements.
  • Under a time-limited measure (1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027), nationals of 111 countries who hold a valid residence permit from the US, an EU/Schengen state, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Oman may enter visa-free for up to 180 days, provided that permit stays valid for at least six months from the date of entry.

How to enter

There is no application to complete in advance. If your nationality is visa-exempt, you simply present your valid passport to the border officer at any Armenian air or land border crossing point and are admitted for the permitted period.

Border officers may ask to see evidence of your onward or return travel, accommodation and sufficient funds for your stay.
