Documents you need

A valid passport is the core document; residence and long-stay applications add items such as a medical certificate, notarised translations, photographs and proof of your qualifying ground.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

For a short visit you need a passport valid for the required period and, unless you are visa-exempt, an e-visa or embassy visa. Border officers may ask for proof of onward travel or accommodation.

Residence permit applications generally require a completed application form, a valid passport with a notarised Armenian translation, photographs, a medical certificate from an Armenian clinic, and documents proving your ground for residence (for example an employment contract, enrolment letter from an accredited institution, or a legalised marriage certificate). Requirements vary by route, so check the official service page for your specific application.
