Nationals of countries that do not need a tourist visa for Argentina

Who it is for

  • Remote workers and freelancers serving employers or clients based outside Argentina
  • Nationals of visa-waiver countries only

Requirements

  • Valid passport or MERCOSUR travel document
  • Criminal background certificate (ages 16+)
  • Proof of address and regular entry
  • Signed application stating personal data and independent/remote work activity
  • Brief CV showing relevant experience and education
  • Proof of employment or income (contract, company endorsement, or confirmation of work demand)
  • Foreign documents legalised or apostilled, with certified Spanish translation where needed

What you can do

  • Live in Argentina while working remotely for overseas clients or employers
  • Extend once for a further 180 days on proof of income earned during the initial period

How to apply

  • Applicants in CABA can contact asesoramiento@migraciones.gov.ar; applicants elsewhere visit their local Migraciones office
  • Visa-waiver nationals may also use the electronic entry procedure (Tramitacion de Ingreso Electronica) for digital nomads
  • Must be present in Argentina; only official platform fees apply
