According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, every visa application must be completed in duplicate and accompanied by a passport valid for at least six months, a photocopy of the passport, two recent identity photographs, matching identity documents, and a travel insurance and repatriation assistance certificate.

Additional documents depend on the visa type: for example an invitation or employer letter for business, a registration certificate for study, a Temporary Work Authorisation and employment contract for work, and proof of family relationship for a family visa.
