Algeria visas

Whether you need a visa to enter Algeria, and which one, depends on your nationality and the purpose of your visit. Most foreign nationals must obtain a visa from an Algerian embassy or consulate before travelling, while a limited electronic visa and visa-on-arrival scheme applies to certain tourists visiting the southern Sahara regions. Entry visas are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad through its diplomatic and consular posts, while residence and long-term stay are governed by the Ministry of Interior under Law No. 08-11 of 25 June 2008.
