Who it is for

  • Spouses of a foreign resident holding a work permit, student pass or residence certificate
  • Children under 18 of a legal foreign resident
  • Other qualifying relatives, and foreign dependants of a Ugandan citizen

Requirements

  • Proof of the principal's legal stay (work permit, student pass or certificate of residence)
  • Proof of relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificate)
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months and passport photograph for each dependant
  • Evidence of means of support

What you can do

  • Reside in Uganda for the validity of the principal's status
  • Accompany the principal family member
  • Note: separate authorisation (a work permit) is needed to take up employment

How to apply

Apply online at visas.immigration.go.ug, select the Dependant Pass, and upload proof of the principal's legal status and of the family relationship.
