Tunisia's visa policy grants visa-free entry for short stays to nationals of many countries, while others must obtain a visa in advance. The list of exempt nationalities and the permitted length of stay are set by Tunisia and by bilateral agreements, so travellers must check the position for their own passport rather than assume eligibility.

Tunisia has announced the introduction of an electronic visa (e-visa) platform, intended to let eligible applicants apply online, pay and receive a decision without visiting a consulate. Until the platform is confirmed operational by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, applications continue through Tunisian embassies and consulates.
