Important: Togo no longer issues visas on arrival
Under current regulations Togo does not issue visas at the airport or land borders. The FAQ on the official portal states plainly that 'Togo no longer issues visas upon arrival.' You must obtain an e-visa online before you travel.
The nearest equivalent to arrival service today is the online 'Visa Arrivee Express' - an expedited e-visa that is approved almost instantly after payment for travellers arriving at short notice, at a higher fee than the standard e-visa. You still apply for it in advance on voyage.gouv.tg, not at the border.
Frequently asked questions
No. Togo has ended visa on arrival. You must apply for the e-visa online at voyage.gouv.tg before you fly. If you are travelling at short notice, use the expedited 'Visa Arrivee Express', which is still an online application approved almost immediately after payment.
