Who needs a Sudan visa

Nearly all foreign nationals need a visa to enter Sudan, and eligibility usually depends on having a sponsor and Ministry of Interior approval.

Sudan operates a visa-required policy for the great majority of nationalities. Visitors must hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry, and visas are generally not issued on arrival at the airport.

Eligibility for most visa categories depends on securing a sponsor inside Sudan and an entry-permit number issued by the Aliens Department at the Ministry of Interior, followed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs approval. Applicants under 18 travelling without a parent generally require written paternal consent or a signed no-objection letter.
