Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Document requirements vary by visa or permit type and can change, so the definitive checklist is the one shown inside the live application. As a general guide, entry visa applicants usually need a valid passport, a recent passport-style photograph and details of their trip such as accommodation and purpose.

Permit applications through the Unified Permit portal generally require additional supporting documents, for example an employment contract and employer details for a work permit, business registration for a business permit, proof of enrolment for study, or proof of relationship for family and dependant permits. Biometric registration may also be required.

Confirm the exact document list, formats and any translation or certification requirements in the live portal before you pay.
