The Sierra Leone Immigration Department warns applicants to use only official portals and approved payment channels, and not to share voucher codes or personal details with unverified third parties. Using the official government portals directly is the safest way to apply and keeps your money and personal data secure.
There are three main official portals: the eVisa portal (evisa.sl) for short-stay entry visas, the Unified Permit portal (unifiedpermit.gov.sl) for work and residence permits, and the passport service for Sierra Leonean passports. General guidance, notices and FAQs are published at slid.gov.sl.
If you are approached by an agent claiming to fast-track a visa, permit or citizenship for a fee outside these channels, verify their status directly with the Immigration Department before paying anything.
