How to apply

Apply at the Slovak embassy/consulate abroad or, in defined cases, at the Foreign Police Department, submitting the admission letter, proof of funds, accommodation, passport, criminal record certificate (where required) and insurance.

After approval you have a set period to enter Slovakia and collect the residence card. Documents from abroad generally need certified Slovak translation and, where applicable, apostille.
