Who it is for

Business travellers attending meetings, negotiations, conferences or short assignments who are not covered by a visa exemption. It does not authorise taking up employment.

Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least three months beyond departure, digitised as a PDF
  • Confirmed onward or return ticket
  • Accommodation details or a local business/contact
  • Proof of means of subsistence (the SMF cites €100 per day)

How to apply

  • Submit the online entry-authorisation request via the SMF eVisaST portal at least 7 working days ahead
  • Retain the process reference number and check the status online
  • Pay the fee at the border on arrival
