The Immigration Division advises lodging temporary resident applications at least 30 days before the intended travel date to allow sufficient processing time. Academic and scientific research permits must be lodged and decided before travel to Samoa.
Processing can be delayed if required medical or police reports, or an employer's sponsorship form, are not submitted promptly. Permanent residence processing times are indicated in the Immigration fee table.
