Who Needs a Visa for Saint Lucia

How to tell whether your nationality is visa-exempt, needs a visa before travel, or can get one on arrival.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

The Department of External Affairs publishes a country-by-country visa list for Saint Lucia. Nationalities are marked 'NO' (no entry visa required), 'YES (pta)' (a visa must be obtained prior to arrival), or 'YES (poe)' (a visa may be issued at the port of entry). Many CARICOM, Commonwealth, EU, US, Canadian and UK nationals are visa-exempt for short visits.

Eligibility for longer stays depends on the route: employment requires a work permit regardless of residence status; naturalisation requires a qualifying period of lawful residence and good character; and citizenship by investment requires passing due diligence and making a qualifying investment. Check the official list for your specific nationality, as it was last updated in November 2018 and policies can change.
