Fees vary by route. The eTA carries a small service charge, the visitor and student visas have fixed government fees, and the citizenship-by-investment programme involves substantial investment amounts plus due-diligence and government processing fees.

Indicative fees

  • eTA service charge: US$17 standard (a discounted US$8.50 applied until 1 September 2025)
  • Visitor visa: US$100
  • Student visa: US$150
  • CBI due diligence: US$10,000 main applicant; US$7,500 per dependant aged 16+
  • CBI investment minimums: from US$250,000 (SISC/Public Benefit), US$325,000 (developer real estate), US$600,000 (private real estate)
