Entry visas on arrival are issued at the port of entry. Online visa and permit applications are processed by the DGIE after documents are submitted through Irembo; applicants receive an email acknowledgement and a decision within the service's stated timeframe.

Nationality/citizenship applications have a longer processing window, reported as around 180 days. Processing times can change, so applicants should allow extra time and check the current service page.
