The ICA states that the turnaround time for all visa applications is 10 working days, provided all requirements are met. Where an application is incomplete or additional documentation is requested, processing can take longer.

eVisas can be issued almost instantly where the applicant meets all entry requirements. Applications for extension of stay must be lodged well before the current entry permit expires, must be made from within PNG, and are subject to no period of grace.
