Omani visa resources

Who is eligible to enter Oman

Eligibility depends on nationality, GCC status, profession and purpose; some nationalities enter visa-free, others need an eVisa, and residence visas require a qualifying sponsor.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

GCC citizens (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE) may enter and reside in Oman without a visa. Nationals of a large group of other countries can enter visa-free for short stays, while a further group can enter only if they hold residence or a valid visa for certain listed countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Schengen states or Japan.

Nationalities outside the visa-free lists must obtain an eVisa or a sponsored visa before travel. Eligibility for work, study, family and investor routes turns on meeting the specific conditions for that route – for example a registered Omani sponsor, an enrolment place, a qualifying salary, or an investment above the threshold.
