Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Processing time for short-stay and long-stay visas depends on the mission, the completeness of the application and the checks required. Applicants are advised to apply well in advance — the Ministry of Foreign Affairs allows applications up to six months ahead and requires at least 15 days before the trip.

For temporary residence tied to employment, the law sets defined timeframes: following 2025 amendments a foreigner who arrives on a D visa must report to the Ministry of Interior shortly after arrival, and a decision on the temporary residence permit is issued within a fixed statutory period.

Exact processing times are not restated here from a verified official page; confirm current timeframes with the competent mission and the Ministry of Interior.
