No visa-free entry or visa on arrival in Nauru

Nauru has no visa-waiver agreements and issues no visas on arrival, so every foreign traveller must obtain a visa before departure.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Unlike many countries, Nauru operates no visa-free entry and no visa-on-arrival scheme, and there is no online e-visa portal. This means essentially every foreign national must apply for and be granted the correct visa before they travel.

Because approvals must be in place in advance and there is no fallback at the border, travellers should engage the Immigration Division early and only rely on official channels — the Immigration Division of the Department of Justice and Border Control — rather than third-party agents charging inflated fees.
