Requirements

  • A specific defined purpose for entering or remaining in Nauru that is not covered by the other visa classes
  • A passport that will not expire within 3 months of the date of application
  • You must not undertake activities for which a business or employment visa is required, unless the visa permits it or the Secretary approves
  • Where the purpose is legal proceedings, those proceedings must commence within 14 days after the visa is granted (or after you enter Nauru if you are outside Nauru)
  • Payment of the non-refundable fee, plus a police certificate and a certificate of medical fitness

How to apply

  • Complete the Application for Special Purpose Visa, selecting single entry or multiple entries and stating your purpose
  • Attach the Part E documents and the fee receipt
  • Lodge the application with the Immigration Office in Nauru in person, through a representative, or online
  • Notify the Principal Immigration Officer of any relevant change in circumstances after grant

Documents you may need

  • Certified copies of the identity pages of your passport or travel document
  • One recent passport-sized photograph (45mm x 35mm) with your name printed on the back
  • A police certificate covering the previous 12 months' residence
  • A certificate of medical fitness (including a chest x-ray and blood tests)
  • A receipt evidencing payment of the fee
  • Certified English translations of any documents not in English
